Moment Russian troops killed by artillery fire as tank explodes on land mine

Russain BMP-1 runs over a few TM-62 AT mines and then is finished off by artillery and drones

This is the horrifying moment Russian soldiers are killed by artillery fire from Ukraine after their aging tank exploded after running over a land mine in what is another devastating blow for Vladimir Putin.

The latest shocking moment from the Russia and Ukraine war shared on Reddit that has been taken from Telegram is titled: “A BMP-1 supposedly ran over a few TM-62 AT mines then finished off by artillery and drones.”

The footage, which is just under a minute long, begins with what is claimed to be a Russian tank travelling as normal along a stretch of terrain.

But ten seconds in, the vehicle suddenly explodes into flames, quickly sending thick grey smoke high into the sky. Smoke is also seen pouring from three other nearby areas.

The camera zooms in to show a handful of troops scrambling out of the destroyed tank before there is another explosion out of shot as they come under attack from artillery fire.

The short video ends with the troops under fire before lying motionless on the ground.

It is unclear where this horrifying moment took place as the brutal war between Russia and Ukraine rages on.

This comes with another video showing the devastating moment an entire Russian squad lying prone is blown up by Ukraine cluster bombs.

The dramatic video posted on a Telegram channel and shared on Reddit on Monday appears to show several troops out in the open on the battlefield.

Suddenly, they are rocked by dozens of huge explosions – seemingly from the lethal and destructive cluster munitions – as thick smoke quickly fills the sky.

These are the latest devastating blows to Putin’s war plan who has seen his troops forced firmly onto the backfoot as Ukraine significantly steps up its much-anticipated counteroffensive.

Last week, Ukraine launched one of its most significant attacks yet on the occupied peninsula of Crimea, striking the headquarters of Russia’s Black Sea fleet in Sevastopol that allegedly killed more than 30 Russian officers, including “senior leadership”.

Ukrainian Cluster munitions hit Russian soldiers laying prone

Russia has suffered more than 276,000 personnel casualties in the war so far, according to the estimate released on X (formerly Twitter) by the Ukrainian Defence Ministry.

This comes with Volodymyr Zelensky claiming he has received a new intelligence report that “clearly” identifies weaknesses in Putin’s war machine.

He told the Ukrainian people in his nightly address: “We clearly see the areas where pressure on Russia needs to be increased so that terrorist capabilities do not grow.

“Sanctions are not enough. There will be more. There will be more of our own, Ukrainian actions against the terrorist state. As long as Russia’s aggression continues, Russia’s losses must be tangible.”

Commenting on Ukraine’s progress in the war, Zelensky said: “A report on the day. I held a meeting of the Staff. Several key points. The first is the actual situation at the front, our offensive and defensive operations. Important reports on the east and south.

“On the destruction of logistics and headquarters of the occupiers. There are good details. Loud details. I thank all the Ukrainian warriors who distinguished themselves!”

He added: “The second issue is the supply of shells. This is a topic we are dealing with on a daily basis. Supplies from partners.

“Searching for new opportunities in the world — we know exactly how to secure supplies. And we are gradually increasing the volume of Ukrainian production. This is one of our top priorities.”
